A free, no-login saturation checker and map for major U.S. counties. Pick an industry, pick a city, and see how many of that business exist per person present in every ZIP code, compared with the national average.

Anyone weighing where to open a small business — a coffee shop, gym, salon, restaurant, pharmacy — and wanting a fast, honest read on the competitive density of a location, without a paid report or an account.

• Public data only. U.S. Census ZBP and ACS, BLS QCEW, Census TIGERweb. No scraped listings, no paid data providers.
• No invented numbers. We do not model revenue, demand curves, or success odds. The only computed values are simple arithmetic on published counts, always marked ~, and withheld cells are shown as 0–2 and left unranked.
• Supply-side honesty. We measure how many competitors exist, not how much money they make. Low density is framed as a question to investigate.
• Transparent. The one modeling assumption (worker demand weight) and all formulas are documented in the methodology, including a list of what we do not know.
• We say "we don't know" when we don't. Unpublished cells, demand, rent, revenue and foot traffic are outside what this data can see.
• No account required. The data is public; reading this site is free.
